The
Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) is the perfect place to start our journey. The V&A is chock full of incredible pieces of historically significant works, many of which I plan to share. Today's Piece of Art is a beautiful waistcoat dated 1630-1640. This is a wonderful example of a jacket worn by middle class women of the day. This piece has gorgeous silver threading and lace throughout the piece.
Tip: If you are new to the V&A museum, I highly recommend the free daily tours that meet in the main entry hall. The introductory tour gives you very informative overview of the vast museum and access to the passionate staff members who are open to your questions and give tips on what to explore next. And be sure not to miss the horde of magnificent jewelry upstairs!
